Still not long enough to get to the hook of Dont Stop Believing :D

That was kinda cool to hear the students singing that on my way back from the D2 hockey game for the second half

The Big South doesn't allow it during conference games and we choose to follow that in non-conference games.

That could have changed but that's how it was in 09 when I ran the board.

Not every team we play has the luxury of replays on the video board, and could give us a competative advantage. Im okay with the Big South not allowing it.

Yes because they might throw their wine and cheese and we might throw our Hymnals an Liberty Ways

Referees will fear the MEGA BOO and in the heat of the moment lean towards the home team? its all I can come up with.

I definately dont think its a giant replay booth to overturn calls.

Solution...dont make bad calls! :)

Amazing how accountability has completely left all aspects of life...and the individuals being paid to judge are unwilling to be judged themselves. Oh well...such is life

You know what just occurred to me...you would make a great official! You dont take any crap and you're always right. You should give it a shot!!! I could represent you now that my agency has some downtime with the long term contract BJ has recently signed.

Good humor, but you missed his point. Officials are held highly accountable for their work.

You should become one too!!!!

Its just one of those things that I'll never fully be ok with accepting. I've come to grips with it though and I admit I'm sure I'm just as ignorant in my ways as officials are in theirs (except you and PH...you guys are straight!). Its a job that I would never attempt because I know how awful I'd be...but thats also why I'm not attempting it

Its like the government policing the government...I'm not a fan. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

Something I think has been mentioned on here before. But after thinking more about how we can get our stadium to be a little louder and more involved on both sides....

I would make the seating chart a little different. On the student side I would make a T shape with the students.... Students on the front rows at the 50, but the other Front Row sections are reserved for GA ticket holders not Students. Then on the "Baptist Side" , take those students that were displaced and move them over to the back 30 rows of the lower deck. Except the Visitor section and the Reserved Seats.

I know thats a very complicated thing to try and describe with words, but the idea is to have students on both sides. If the rowdiness of the students bothers you, you have options, Get reserved seats, or go to the second deck. I think this would work, and should be taken into consideration if the Baptist Side continues to prove they only like to cheer when JMU is in town.

yeah that is one of the better ideas I have heard. It would be hard to enforce though....at first anyways

They should immediately show replays before they have a chance to become questionable. Also they should stop playing music during every stoppage of play.

It would also grow Gillville or whatever it's called because the students ideally would want to be over behind the visitor's bench and camping out gets you in your seat earlier. I could see a bit of a backlash as students would probably resist the idea. And enforcement would be hard since they don't really have individual "seats". But hey, there's people on staff getting paid to figure out how to make ideas happen.

i think splitting the student section is a terrible idea. there's a real chance it kills the enthusiasm of the students instead of the other way around. its essentially punishing the students for being awesome.
