Why are we talking about Seth AGAIN :banghead

And I pretty much agree with everything BYD said in this thread.

BuryYourDuke wrote:I'm so so freaking sick of having this discussion. If you are supporting a school you didn't go to over your Alma mater then do us all a favor and leave this board, then do something to signify your stupidity like drive your car off a steep cliff. If you're still a Seth Curry fan, you're not a bad Liberty fan, but I wonder what attracts you to a guy who came here because we were the only ones who wanted him, and left at the first opportunity. That is character embodied.

Buryyourduke is exactly right. I was in Auburn today at Toomers Corner, and all I saw was AU shirts or hats. The only person wearing something different was me wearing a LU hat, but I don't go to Auburn either. You don't see UA, UGA, or LSU, just AU. Support your school, and sell it to people. If you want to wear a different schools colors, and logo go to the school. If you couldn't get in thats all the more of a reason to be appreciative to LU. People are starting to know who we are. On Saturday I was walking and someone saw my hat, and yelled go flames! I was kind of surprised, but it was a cool thing. Like buryyourduke said, be big time fans!

I feel the same way. Its Liberty and only Liberty. Never anything or anybody else. To me this is the same as people wearing Italy or Brazil soccer shirts or something like that. It makes me so mad when I see that I don't know what to do. I hate to see a person wearing another countries shirt more than anything else I've ever experienced.

This is absolutely the same way I feel! Like during the World Cup, everybody was rooting for Germany, Italy, Brazil, etc. No, you're American! Except I rooted for Uruguay when they got to quarterfinals just because I had lived in South America for a few years.

I just don't get it. LU is on the rise in every way, and I think it's cool to be apart of that. Wether it's regarding national issues, or sports related. We are becoming big time, and the alumni have to step up. Maybe when we become a FBS football program it will strengthen our identity with some people and make us "major" players.

Pffft. This is ridiculous. I'm literally laughing at this.

Carter-Finley is right next to the RBC Center. Where Raleigh just hosted the NHL All-Star game. It's one of the most visited places in the city for concerts, events and Carolina Hurricanes games. It is very much one of the safest places in Raleigh to visit and in a perfectly nice area. There aren't many other areas in the city that see more traffic from families with their kids. (Save for the malls and Marbles downtown.) It's not even near downtown. It's out away from everything on it's own. Right off of I-40 on the far Western side of Raleigh. It could not be more safe.

Anything to the contrary is utter :BS . The only things directly around the stadium area are the Fairgrounds, The College of Veterinary Medicine at NCSU and a rich private school for elementary kids. Look it up on Google Maps.

As for all of the school loyalty and Curry talk in this thread, you guys need to shut it down now. This is a thread in the football forum about the NCSU game. Keep it on topic or I'll lock it until football season. Post a topic elsewhere, but that's enough in this thread.

Mr. El is quite right. I live 15-20 minutes away from the stadium. It is real safe there for all sporting events and fair grounds activities. The shooting was an isloated event that could happen anywhere. Can't wait for ya'll to come down here for a game. It's great to have an away game 20 minutes from home.

It's a great location ..... I have never been inside the football stadium but have seen and "heard" the crowd twice. Once while attending a horse-show and then again before a Carolina Hurricanes hockey game. Very often they have more than one sold out event scheduled for the area on same day ... you can get into traffic .... but like someone said, it's not in town and the roads in and out are great.

I'm already pumped. I hope we can find a way to beat these guys. I'd love to see all the highlights on sportscenter, and making splash on the national scene.

Don't be surprised if we lose @Lehigh and @Stony Brook. If you go back through the years from just when Rocco has been here, he has not done well on the road in early day games. I'm not a Rocco hater, but I wouldn't be shocked to see us go down with 3 losses this year.

Doesn't matter if we lose to Lehigh (though I doubt we will). All we have to do is win the conference. We've got a slim shot at an at-large if we don't, but that slim ain't much. We'd have to win all of our OOC games and only lose to Stony Brook; if we win all out OOC games, I don't see us losing to Stony Brook, and if we lose any of our OOC games (except NCState) AND lose to SB, we don't dance.

Doesn't a 7PM start only help out work situations? Less travel stress on Friday or even Saturday, and then travel on Sunday. Seems reasonable...?

I should have mentioned that I understood it works for most people, but not those like me who have to work at 4:30AM on Sundays... lol
