To think those views were going to be wasted by it being a mechanical room! It's great to have a Chancellor heavily involved to be able to catch mistakes like this before they happen. It amazes me how engineers with all of their education and computers sometimes fail the common sense test.
It reminds me of the Hillcats sky box's and how they did not have a net in front of them because they did not think it was needed. People would have died (I'm not kidding) if we never would have put one up because of the distance.
