I'm not sure what the difference or the advantage is between live scouting and watch tape. Regardless, we can't blame the loss on this.
So, you say the penalty is they forfeit the game? Yay, we win! :cheerleader :pbjtime

As a late addition to my review of the game, I didn't have to worry about my AppleTv crapping out because it was on TV!

I am glad the Lord allows my team to play like this sometimes. Helps me keep all my sports fanness in perspective. Flames, Pirates, probably Cowboys later today. Now, let's go Cubs! (that's for you PH) :)

You have a great track record there. The Cubs are doomed for sure. Enjoy your band wagon seat right next to BJ :frustrated :banghead

It's just a garbage performance all the way around. It's even more frustrating the next day. This should have been the easiest road game we had this year. What a joke.

I'll be starting at a new school next year when I leave the military so I'm gonna focus my energy on seeing that program improve. I think I'll just forget about LU football until they have a season where they're like 5-1 with that 1 loss being an understandable close one to a powerhouse team and then I'll follow the rest of that season to see if they actually make it to the big stage. And this is all coming from a die hard fan who was in the marching band during the Rashad Jennings/ Rocco era.
Hopefully your ¨new team¨ never frustrates or disappoints you.

He's still a newb and wasn't subjected to Decades of frustration

I expected that me jumping ship wouldn't be received well. I'm not saying the team will never get there, I'm sure they will. I'm just exhausted from the team not caring as much as the fans do and dropping too many games unnecessarily.

I've spent a lot of money traveling to big away games over the years, not as much as you old timers though, just to watch a 4th quarter meltdown or a complete lack of game preparation.

Also, my new school has only had a team since 2011 and they're currently 1-5 so far this season, so they are struggling to make it themselves. I don't have the energy to string along two teams both trying to get their act together.

Additionally, I'll be halfway across the country starting in April, so there's no way I could attend anymore games unless they come to Texas. I'm keeping my eye out for the Baylor game though in case that happens.

Yeah...no...I mean he has been successful and all but do you seriously think we just dump Woodrum at this juncture? Pardon my crassness but are you under the influence or something?

No. He is a member of :flamingdevil It is based in reality and facts on the ground. Our members don't all agree on everything but we are far from Haters or Pessimists. We are realists. So, as the saying goes, while Pessimists and Optimists argue about how full the glass is, Realists just go ahead take the glass and drink the water. We are who we are until we prove we are different.
I would recommend trading in your coffee for :koolaid :Kool

When I changed my Avatar to "Roll Flames Roll," I didn't intend for Liberty to Roll over. My bad.

It's the young guys not taking teams seriously and not the four year starter leading them.

Josh's comments after the Montana game were a big red flag to me. He said we're definitely a top 10 team, maybe top five and a contender. He may truly have believed that but that's not what a good team leader should be saying. More like that was a good game for us but we need to get a lot better every week to reach our potential. I think he's got a lot to do with our crapfest the other night.

one big problem I see is that he wants to go to Petey way to much, making the team one dimensional. When he was dealing with his "lower body injury" ball was spread around and involved in the offense. Since he has returned it has again become imo about putting up there individual numbers, and not putting the team first.

I think it's more the Upper Classman. I've been a big Joshmfan but some of his comments have made me wonder about his leadership ability

That's exactly what I was getting at.

He's not a leader.

He's a good player that, because of his position, is expected to lead even though it's not one of the things he's skilled in.

Everyone did their part to lose the game but the coaches come up with a game plan, call the plays and make adjustments. Letting a team score 28 points before making adjustments is the coaches’ fault. That was my positive point, the negative is: it appears that the offence did not make any adjustments.
Also I am not sure if you could see this on TV but when Abner got injured almost all of the GW players were on one knee but I did not see a single Liberty person or coach go to their knee. If I was a coach, it would have embarrassed me at our display and I would have taken a knee to show a leadership example. Of course if I was the coach, Sunday they would run laps around the football field while I read the book of Genesis over the speakers and on the next loss they would run laps while I read Genesis and Exodus. Now that I think of it, that may be why I am not the coach but that is what I would do. :D

only thing I will say on this matter is that MISSED tackles is NOT on the coaches that is on the PLAYERS who have to own up to it as well. Many a tackle were missed due to just tick poor tackling. It looked to me like all week every interview was almost BB material for GW if you ask me. Everyone was talking about how GW had not scored the previous two matchups, and if we come and TCB it will pretty much be same thing. Well they didn't and it cost them dearly.

Where is it a written rule that you have to take a knee now because someone is injured. During that period a team should be over on sidelines getting adjustments, water, coaching and maybe a player or two can see whats going on. The players being on a knee is not going to help the hurt players situation. If that's the case you can also say hell why didn't HCTG go out on the field each time a player gets hurt to, he's ultimately responsible for all the kids that he calls "sons". Wouldn't you want to know whats wrong with your son.
