Of course you could do the same with the red or blue helmets as well.and sock combos......Medic, will you work on a new mockup of all the possible combinations. I like how they have the entire shape of the state of VA on the side with the Monarch in the middle.I read somewhere that odu would be sticking with the white ones for home games and using the blue ones on the road because it helps spread the word that they are located in Virginia.

LANG wrote:* I asked Gill about uniform choices today, and he said he lets his captains choose the jersey/pants/helmet combo before each game, as long as they stay within the parameters of choosing a light jersey for road games and a dark one for home games. He said he absolutely uses the Flames’ number of Nike uni combos -- 18 at last check -- as a recruiting tool, because, hey, young football players enjoy a lot of choices. He’s not the only coach who mentions such things in recruiting.again with 18- so I don't think we'll see blue lids. prove me wrong @LibertyEquip
BJWilliams wrote:Thats unfortunate...I think the red logo would pop a lot better on a blue lid (Id of gone with a blue logo on the red one personally)I agree. I'd luv to see the blue logo on the red helmets. Especially if they were matte red!

2. I was wondering if the blue helmets were completely gone.
3. LU has a lot of combinations of uniforms that is for sure. I hope they stick with only a few of them on a regular basis... one for home, one for the road, and one for special rivalry games, one for homecoming, one for special road games. I guess that equals a lot doesn't it?
4. We can still do better on our helmets, though they are an improvement from the last ones... you know something like holographic flames with LU in block or collegiate font!
Purple Haize wrote:Especially if they were matte red!I think that's why I didn't like them. They looked too much like a toy helmet, almost cheap looking. A matte finish would've looked a tooooon better.
BJWilliams wrote:matte red would be good...and I am glad PH and I agree on the blue logo (probably the only time this year I will be able to say that and not vomit)
