That's a pretty good song too, it was their first video. But it takes to long to get to the pay off riff

So now everyone is subject to your opinions on taste and creativity? No thank you.

By disagreeing with me then you are making the argument that "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster The People does have cultural and intellectual merit, as if pop culture defines what is tasteful and truly creative?
It's funny. You made a statement and put a question mark on the end of it. I'll assume it was a query, though I know it probably wasn't. I am not making that argument, no. You, sir, have moved the goalposts. Our discussion is about whether or not "Pumped Up Kicks" is a creative work. I am arguing that it is a creative work. You are arguing a number of other things, the first of which seems to be that you are the authority on taste and culture.

Seriously, though. How old are you?

And for the record, I was pretty clear in my original reply that I understand why we wouldn't want to play this at football games. That makes sense to me for a number of reasons.

The attack on the song itself does not.

What you're missing is how logic is so much better than anyone... he is so above you.

I love to read books. But I'm not just going to randomly brag about it, as if it somehow makes me a better person. I don't watch American Idol, and I ridicule those who do. But I never do it publically just to make myself feel better. Also, it doesn't really bother me that some people enjoy it. Good for them.

The high school where I teach uses Enter Sandman as an entrance song for first period. It starts playing through the intercom system 5 minutes before school starts. It's awesome.

Someone has to step and be a voice for authentic intellect. Case in point - Just saw an ad for an upcoming ABC drama, 666 Park Avenue - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/666_Park_Avenue .

I have no doubt that lethargic, couch sitting, dumbed down America will eat up the latest serving of pop culture trash en masse.

You. Authentic intelect? The show doesn't hold much interest for me but what, pray tell, is acceptable TV for authentic intellectuals to watch? What of the adage 'The smarter you are the simpler your form of amusement?'

Probably things like Masterpiece Theater and the Lawrence Welk Show, or maybe This Old House, or just about anything from the National Geographic Channell

No because Masterpiece Theater is on PBS who is supported heavily by Democrats who support abortions. Lawrence Welk had dancing which we all know leads to sex which obviously led to more abortions. And National Geographic advocates the theory of macro evolution as fact, so we can't watch that either. Study

Hence my original declaration of a great night being "...filled with books, writings, deep personal musings, and other intimate conversations..."

Logic, no offense, but I don't want to hear about intimate conversations. That's NOT the Liberty Way.
