Also, what was up with that team entrance? Seemed like some sort of glitch during 2001, but the video that was shown prior to the entrance: I don't get all the use of students at the beginning of it, like trying to have some storyline to it. Then it ends with a quiet close shot of a guy's eyes? Totally not getting it. It seemed to drain energy as much as anything. Don't tell me a story: just make it loud with football highlights synched to good upbeat music. Go to the FBS and BCS level schools, and they do it right!

From what I understand, marketing is in charge of the entrance video now. That probably explains it.

Also - will someone please teach Mike Tilley the names of our players. Josh Woodlum doesn't play for us and he didn't go to Cape Spring High School. He should also know how to pronounce Nicky Fualaau's name. I don't expect perfection but I expect the announcers for the Liberty produced game should know the names of the Liberty plays.

Better get used to it. From what I'm hearing, he's going to be butchering...er...broadcasting the basketball games this year too.

As for the game it was definitely a disappointment. I was one who had higher hopes following the strong showing against Wake. Not unrealistic expectations, just that we would be able to beat Norfolk St at home. And its consistent results like this that really make me wonder about all the FBS talk. Sure anyone can move up, just look at Buffalo. But if you want to have a reasonable chance at success on the next level you may want to show some success on your current level. Just saying.

Logic. I'll put this as simply as I can. Coaches want to win every game. Coaches prepare to win every game. Coaches realize they will not, except in RARE instances, win every game. They don't know which games they will lose, although there are a few that they can guess, but they know they'll drop a few. Some years they will drop more then others. This is the way it goes.
To use your examples. OSU fans certainly didnt have the same expectations last year that they have this year and their expectations next year will be greater than this year. Conversely, Boise State probably has lower expectations this year than they did last year. SEC fans are just crazy. Les Miles wins a National Championship and a lot of LSU fans wanted to see him fired. We had expectations to go to the Playoffs last year and are all disappointed. Tis year we expect to be competitive and we are.

how dare you Haize. I believe at the beginning of every season we will win the FCS championship, because that is what real fans do. You are a lost cause and a terrible fan!

When you say "produced", you're only talking about the announcers? Or do other things about the broadcast trouble you?

Mainly the on air talent, the other things (graphics, etc.) are minor problems but not nearly as glaring as the on air talent.

That's what we get for trying to find out what the sensor message was about! Same thing happened to me- I edited, then after that didn't work, I just deleted it.

How about that 2nd down pass to the corner? Anyone remember Robbie Justino and his often successful passes like that? Passing to really tall receivers and tight ends made it work for him pretty regularly.
