I am pleased with our D and the offense is where I thought it would be at this point. Hudson won the job iMO, and I feel like this team has a different attitude. With all of that being said LU desperately needs to win these close games against the bigger name competition. Really looking forward to the rest of the season.

I was just watching the highlights from Saturday again and dreaming about the one we should of had and I have a few observations.

- Dutra seems to be what I had hoped Jimmy Eden would get the chance to be. Speedy little slot receiver who works hard and gets open.
- That YAK from Justin Gunn was amazing. What a gritty run. I hope that type of play personifies our team for the rest of the year.
- He had that ball all the way to the ground and then it popped out. What a catch that would have been if he could have held onto it.

more quotes from the WF coach
While the Tar Heels were able to tone things down in the second half with things under control against Elon, Wake Forest had to tap into their go-to plays to avoid an upset at the hands of Liberty.

“We were in a position the other night against Liberty where we weren’t holding anything back, we had to give them our best shot to get a win,” said Wake Forest head coach Jim Grobe while joining Mark and Mike Thursday. “Larry (Fedora) made the statement after the win over Elon that they were very basic and just ran a small part of their offense.”
