Just because a player lost his schollie does not mean he necessarily isn't coming back. He just has to find another way to pay for school.

I was talking to Jennings last night and he said there should be one that either has signed or is just about to....but this would be one of the players from UVa

After the spring cuts, Parris is looking to transfer as is DB Daniel Brown. WR Matt Lambros is another transfer possibility. Braswell, Moon, Fluellen & Otah are all out w/ no chance of coming back. Rhett is done playing for medical reasons but will remain w/ the program as a student assistant through next fall. As a medical hardship, his schollie won't count toward the 63 but will count toward APR. I have yet to hear anything from the coaches about Cosby's schollie being cut but he's been on only a partial ride since he got here. I haven't personally seen Zach Troutman in months so I would assume that he's gone as well.

Cosby is staying - confirmed. Troutman left in December...that's probably why you haven't seen him. Looks like he's at Evangel University. http://www.evangel.edu/News/PressReleas ... cruits.asp

Now here is a guest who is bringing something to the table.

Its good to hear Zach is heading to another Christian school even if it is NAIA. I hope it works out great for him in Springfield.

I ask this innocently: Wasn't Troutman supposed to be THE catch of Karcher's last recruiting class?

(I wasn't around when that group signed, so that's why I ask.)

I think he left b/c Karcher left....i don't think he ever gave the new coach a chance.

Troutman was considered one of the key components of that class along with the QB of similar name. But to be fair, most fo the class came in with similar accolades.

My head is swelling at the compliment SLY. I have been down there a few times. For those 80's hard rock fans, I saw the group Kings X at a bar in Springfield before the were "Big". (OK obscure music reference and some would argue the BIG statemetn) My youth pastor went to school with them so it was reaaly cool. Same time that ball went through Buckners wickets
OK Enough about memory lane

Kings X was awesome. They were a Houston band that I saw somewhere in NC when I was in school at LU. They actually had some mainstream success for a short period of time thanks to MTV in about '88.

OK, this thread has been completely hijacked.

Even I know King's X. And yes, they were awesome. Or more appropriately...rad.

Anyway, I really liked Pinnick's 12-string bass.

Transfers don't have to sign letters of intent. Its not unusual for summertime transfers.

WOW- thats pretty significant, even if we only get one. No local press on that one (yet)?

guess it remains to be seen what the PR is on THAT move.

Have faith in coach rocco and the administration, they know a lot more than anyone else on this board, and if rocco can vouch for the guy, then let it be.
