Well, it's okay to be a State fan and I think what he's trying to say is that he finds 50,000 plus at Carter-Finley more exciting than 19,000 at Williams.

I guess we can forgive him ..... unless we find out he's using "jdmann1288" over there and "Roccgroh" over here! ......

How do you think like that?! Why do you go to a school, but don't support its teams? You pay your money to the school, but want them to lose?! Thats BS. Why even attend the school? Were trying to build a stronger alumini base to help the athletics program, and guys like this are out there. Pathetic.

Carter-Finley always has been a dump, all they have done is put some ribbon on it to make it look presentable in the past few years. We went up there and got clobbered a couple of years ago and their fans acted as if they had won the ACC title or something.

Not to mention you have to pack heat or risk getting shot while tailgating there...definitely far and away the worst setting of any of the big 4 (NCSU, UNC, Duke, WF) for football.

WVU is the absolute worst. Virginia Tech is pretty bad too. I've been to many WVU games and it's a small group that cause all the trouble.

They had some sort of shooting up there a few years back, I believe someone may have passed as a result of it. It isn't the most lovely locale either out by the fairgrounds and all.

Put it this way....booze makes anyone feel ten feet tall and bulletproof....your pregame at Wake a couple of years ago will seem like an 11 oclock service at TRBC in comparison.

I actually thought the place was pretty nice when I was there. I'm not from nc though so it may be bad around that area.

Its not that bad. I grew up there and my dad lives 5 mins from there now. I do agree that for some reason State fans are crazy even though they suck at everything but other than that the place is nice. I will be there this weekend actually for a hockey game

i lived in raleigh for eight years and that shooting over at the fairgrounds was a random act of violence over a domestic issue. carter-finley has been renovated and has a beautiful tower and football building and loud boisterious fans who can get a bit extreme, but it is a good atmosphere. it used to be a dump, but it is nice now.

This will be my first game over there. I attended an equestrian event once, next door to their home coming game and mingled with their fans. Did noticed "some" binge drinking, but for the most part the fans were there for the game. Been to some Wake games, really enjoyed those.

A little off topic ... does anyone know if any of the home games are scheduled while the student are off campus, on holiday this year?
