True, we'll see other teams fly in here. Last year, a team flew to ROA and then was picked up at LYH, likely due to lack of hotel space. I'd like to see the community benefit as much as possible from our shift to a level where airplanes are more common than buses. It would be nice for hotel tax revenue to stay local rather than in another community.

I did the police escort for visiting teams from the hotel to stadium for the past two years. Most teams (all but two) stayed at the same hotel downtown. None of them were super happy about it, but it was the only one large enough to host the meeting and team spaces needed. NMSU stayed at the Virginian on their second trip here as they were so disappointed in the normal hotel and one other team (can't remember) stayed in the Hilton garden inn on Wards but weren't thrilled with how close to campus they were. So having few choices likely played a role in FIU staying in Roanoke.

What are your plans? Are you one of the lucky few in the stadium? Food of choice this weekend?

Go Flames!

I haven’t read all the above so someone else may have said it. I expected FIU to sell out on the run and make Willis best them with his arm and he did. Was pleasantly surprised at his consistency and if he can play, expect him to get better as the year goes on. If we have to go with Ferguson then I think our O Line play is so solid that Our offense will still be very potent when we have Frith and Yarborough back on the field alomg wi5( Stubbs and Hundley.

No mention of injuries aside from malik and frith postgame. Scruggs came back in next drive. He and alexander got roughed up pretty good on the pitch to the outside. Need glass back badly.

Agreed on malik. Other than the missed td and the int that was negated by the penalty he was super accurate. Made a couple bad reads in the run game but i was ecstatic with his accuracy otherwise.
