My plan is to come up Thursday evening with my camper. I am hoping to get a round of golf in on Friday at London Downs (unless some one recommends a better course) and Tailgate all day Saturday leading up to the game. If anyone wants to join me in a round of golf and grilling out let me know. Purple...I would love to catch up with you at some point this year.

Popular Grove in Amherst is the best course in the area. But a smidge pricey.

I found out about three weeks ago about the elimination of the black tailgate reserve passes. We always tailgated along university in the bookstore lot. I have an email that says we can still use those spaces for tailgating....but they are now first come first serve. I'm not sure that the numbers on the yellow lot passes are for actual parking spots. I had a number on mine last year too, but there was not an assigned space per se. What's the sentiment on here about what time to arrive considering this new tailgate policy and the increased number of attendees for this particular game? I was thinking 2ish....but I'm a little concerned i'll be parked by the new business school if I wait too long.

This is in my future. I cant make it happen this year due to refereeing high school football on Friday Nights, but the golf and all day tailgate are in my future for sure. What an awesome weekend you are about to have. DM when you get set up, I would love to come over and meet you and let my wife see how much fun your having with your camper and golf trip. :)

I’m set up and ready for the weekend😀 My wife recently got a job at VMI and has to get the rest of her things together for the move so this was a solo trip for me. If any one wants to stop by to say hello that would be great. I’m parked in the corner of the grass lot next to the stadium. Purple, thank you for the recommendation for my golf outing. Tried to PM you to see if you wanted to join me. I even said I was paying! Let me know if your interested. I’m heading out to the course mid afternoon.

When I pulled on to campus at 530 this morning I got pretty pumped to see a tailgater here already. Props man!

To my knowledge there are no reserved spaces in yellow, first come first serve. It will likely fill up pretty quick though. Further, with the changes from years past (no general parking close to the stadium, ADA is at track and serviced by shuttle only, etc) traffic will likely be tougher than usual with so many people having to turn around and go different places.

Dr. Karen Prior not only won SumItUp's 2 Club tickets, but she even took a a selfie at my tailgate.

I'll leave this for visiting teams. We settled in the "East Athletic Overflow" next to the lacrosse field. Two portajohns located nearby and the lacrosse stadium restroom was unlocked.

We located on the backside of lot against the tree line. Liberty actually drove by and dropped off a large recycle bin. The lot was devoid of other tailgates but is perfect for a group that likes to drink a few hi-test pops. We left our trash in garbage bags and they were gone when we got back after the game.

Most of our fans took the shuttle bus. The walk would be about a mile. The shuttle back to lot was fairly efficient but would be much worse after a tight game.

How was your overall experience?

It was great. Liberty fans were good sports.

Concession lines on the east side of the stadium were super long...lots of thirsty and hungry students. I sensed that walking over to the west side was a better call. I just wanted a soda...and waited like 20 secs at Dunkin Donuts.

I hope we can do another series in 7-10 years.
