I thought it was 1.4B.

LU's already in the Carnegie Classifications of institutions of higher learning. If we invest a abundant amount into research and academia, the school can reach the level as an R1. Right now, Liberty is a D/PU, which the lowest level for doctoral universities(Last I check). Becoming an R1/R2 can help us academically, financially and even athletically( higher tier conferences(P5's). Not sure if LU is considering going that route, but it is good idea with what they have in assets right now. Just a thought:
I wonder what Centra would cost. $2.2B? Lower?
What is the benefit of Liberty immediately being a "research university"?
The poor guy didn’t make it very long. :)
