I agree that this didn't "save anyone's job"...but I didn't (nor anyone should) go into yesterday thinking that this one game determined anyone's job status.

Also, while I don't want to get into talk that drips of happy unicorns, fluffy clouds made of cotton candy, and raging positivism, but at the very least don't feel like you have to downplay the result. We went out and put up a season high in points and yards against a team that had only allowed more than 30 points in one game, including a game against an FBS in Kent State. Were there issues? Absolutely (heck look at the Good and Bad thread about this game)...but you don't give somebody an "atta boy" pat on the back then smack them upside the head.

C'mon Beej. The save anyone's job line was clearly in reference to olldflame bringing up the criticism of Wagner. There was absolutely nothing wrong with VAGolf's post.

Dennis Wagner did and does not need to "save his job" At no point has his job been any more in jeopardy than Gill's, and in fact if Gill were fired the new coach could do a whole lot worse in looking for someone who is a fit at Liberty to coach his O-line Total knee-jerk reaction to call for the head of the O-line coach because we struggled to run against the likes of VT and JSU with multiple starters injured

14,000 false starts also helped that LU O Line has not been good. If he's a good coach he will coach them up

Those false starts happened in the first half of the first game, and the chief offender is back in the starting linup and doing a great job Coaching them up is exactly what he has been doing! Almost 700 yards Saturday with only 1 starter who had ever played college ball before this year

It appears so. I hope that is the case. I'm a fan of the coaching staff so I'm glad to SD it happen if it does
