No. LU would do better by blacking out games when the attendance is low. You don't become a five star steak restaurant using McDonald's marketing tactics....or in your case, Burger King I guess.

I do not mean this to be rude, but giving away free tickets is a bad idea. Ryan is doing a great job marketing to churches and selling group tickets. Attendance won't be an issue in 2 weeks. May have a lull against RMU, but conference schedule should be in the 18-20 range.

3 Good:
Masha
RB trio
Execution across the board

3 Bad:
Mike Tilley - I have nothing against the guy personally, he's very nice, but he's bad at his job. Get Nick in there, please!
Attendance was disappointing

The good:

1. Penalties. Of all of the things that went wrong against VT, this was the most concerning. Additionally, I picked this one first because penalties aren't issues that can be hid against bad programs. Even though we played Jacksonville, fixing the penalties was a big deal. I'd still like to see it cut down even a bit more but certainly an improvement.

2. Offensive line. A lot of people are praising Masha...and that's fine but understand that he owes a lot of that success to the offensive line.

3. This is probably the best rushing attack that we've had under Gill. I also like that we aren't dependent on one RB. We have 3 very good running backs and a very capable offensive line. If we can run the ball that well 30-40 times a game, it's going to really help Masha.

The bad:

1. I think they had 5 20+ yard plays. This may be one of the most talented defenses that we've had but we get burned on big plays.

2. Jacksonville. We did a lot of things well but we still played a very, very bad team. Let's keep everything in perspective.

3. I'm only putting something here because of the rules. So, this really isn't a huge negative for me. But I still don't understand the hype around Calvert. Okay, he has a strong arm. But until he can read a defense properly and get through progressions quicker, his arm strength is of little value.

Most of our runs were "up the middle". If we spread our runs to outside some, run game should continue to improve. Also I would like to see a trick play at least once a game.

1. The offense. We executed the offense. It was against an overmatched defense, but we did what our offense is designed to do.
2. Masha. He still does not carry out his fakes on the zone read plays though. I could not be happier with his overall performance.
3. The defense is legit. Brandon Tilllmon is going to be a player. He sure does tackle high though.

The Bad
1. The level of competition. I'm sure they will get better, but they were not very good.
2. Attendance was a little disappointing.
3. SMU will not be on T.V.- false. ESPN3

1. The price of concessions (went up AGAIN -$6.50 for a burger and $7 for a bucket of popcorn)
2. See 1

I bet the nacho cheese wasn't even hot!
Was it at least a souvenir bucket?

Concessions are getting out of hand at all NCAA events. Granted , schools need to raise money, but they should not "rob" the fans.
I got a burger, fries and soda Saturday. I forget what it cost, but the fries tasted as if they were left over from fanfest a couple weeks ago.

With all due respect, no one cares about the condition of your fries. What we really want to know about are the NACHOS.

Did not eat any nachos. Had to go on duty at about 3:30, only got one break early in 3rd Quarter, thus only had time for a quick burger/fries.

How'd I get included here 😳
