Stills family remains close despite long-distance relationship

FAIRMONT — The Stills family lives for football. To describe them any other way wouldn’t serve them justice.

Darius and Dante, brothers, are members of the Fairmont Senior football team. Their father, Gary, played professionally for a decade. Football can be the glue in this father-sons relationship at times. The game has a way to cancel out a unperfect situation.

Gary currently lives in Kansas City. The Kansas City Chiefs selected him in the third round of the 1999 NFL Draft out of West Virginia University.

Stills played in Kansas City for seven seasons, including a Pro Bowl selection in 2003. The Trenton, New Jersey, native also spent time with the Baltimore Ravens and St. Louis Rams before retiring after the 2008 season.
