This all started with Bluejacket saying ¨true top 10 teams¨, including JMU, would beat GA St. by at least 15. He has made a point of saying that GA St has ¨not improved significantly¨ while SMU is ¨getting better quickly¨. Others have also cited JMU´s win over SMU as evidence they are better than us, even though we are the only team to beat them in a long time. I´m not so sure the facts bear that out. Could be interesting to see how things go for those 2 teams the rest of the season. I wouldn´´t be at all surprised if in November JMU´s win over SMU will look no more impressive than our´s over GA St.. Maybe less.
Just to point out the obvious, had it not been for Masha's fumble and voluntarily taking a safety, Liberty would've have won by 17. I think Liberty is a top 10 team. Just depends how consistent they can be to be a top 5. We definitely have the makings for that.
We didn´t take a safety in this game. That was Montana, but your point is well taken about the Masha fumble, and in fact in many ways we dominated GA St. I give them credit for having the playmakers at QB and WR to take advantage of some breakdowns in our secondary. If not for that the margin would have been even greater.

But we didn't win by 17. We won by 8.

Right now we are ranked where we should be: #13-#15.

I believe if we win out to the Coastal game, we will be playing for a seed in the playoffs. Potential seeds in some of the other conferences will be beating themselves up over the next 5 weeks.

You missed the point. We basically dominated the game. See Oldflame's post from above:

We dominated two categories: rushing and TOP. Other than those two things, especially with regards to the score, we did not.

And how does a team dominate those 2 areas? By dominating the line on both sides of the ball. 3 explosive plays kept them in the game. We
