I know in the College a targeting call gets you ejected, not in the NFL maybe Lang or someone else can tell me about playoffs tho.

The hit that the Rams Safety Mcleod put on Broncos WR Sanders was flagged for defenseless receiver even tho it was shown on video that he led with shoulder. If it happens in a college game the kid is ejected but what if the Refs are wrong in the call and the kid is tossed for a bad call, which could ultimately mean a team loses in the playoff. What if any are the ramifications? Is there replay in the playoffs that could possibly overturn the call or what? I remember Jacob Hagen getting tossed in Richmond last year on a bogus call sometimes it seems because refs are in bad positions and guessing and jut making bad calls off what seems bad but is legal.

PS: I would like to see someone get laid out (cleanly) by someone anyone on the defense to send some sort of message to opposing offenses.

The rule is only in it's second year of existence so not many people are 100% sure how it actually works. But from what I've seen it can be reviewed and the penalty and ejection both overturned. Last year only the ejection could be overturned but now the penalty can too if the review shows the refs blew the call. Based on what happened with CSU's DB who got called for targeting on Saturday, it can't be reviewed at FCS. And the targeting penalty doesn't exist in the NFL...yet.
