The offer from North Carolina Central could be a preliminary for more offers to come. Jones has put in a lot of work, and he’s not done yet. He’s looking for the summer camp season to yield more interest and offers.

“I feel JMU could be next (offer coming),” said Jones, anticipating an impressive performance at next week’s Satellite Camp in Virginia Beach. “I’m trying to camp at every school in Maryland ,Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and maybe even Florida this summer.”

The 5-10 180 pound running back has added muscle in the offseason and he’s looking to show it off for coaches that might have looked at him as too small for the highest levels of college football. He’s motivated, and getting his first scholarship offer certainly feeds that motivation.
