DENMARK — This time a year ago, Chris Turner was at Lake Marion helping the Gators make their run to the school’s first-ever state title in basketball.
A few weeks before that historic basketball season, Turner was quietly making a name for himself as a shutdown cornerback as a part of Chris Carter’s program. Fast forward nearly a year later and Turner found himself in Denmark-Olar’s media center signing on to be a member of Liberty University’s football team.
“On the visits I had, I liked the environment,” Turner said. “It seemed like they were a real family to me. That’s what really caught me. They really care about their players.”
