we end the year w/ an avg attendance of 11,128 and a cumulative total of 66,765- filling the Bill at 92.73% cap and ranking 29th in the country!

not bad for a team that went 1-10 w/ NO DI wins just a year ago.

yet another reason that "ROCCO IS THE MAN"

Im guessing they botched up the Chuck South Numbers unless a 9-0 team can only bring in 3000 fans

They are fortunate to draw 3k in that tiny facility they have down there playing DII and NAIA competition.

Looking at some the teams in front of us. I am amazed , a lot of them are well establised programs that win year in and year out.

and if you look only at % of capacity, we're actually 8th in the country (incl stadiums seating 10k or more- didn't count some schools like Iona and CSU that hold 1500-3000)

I really am confused as to how attendance stayed up. Surely the "new coach" angle only lasted a couple games. And knowing our student body, the losses couldn't have helped. Imagine if we were able to hold on to a few of those games.

why be confused?? excitement was high with coach rocco, we are competitive, and the game day atmosphere was great, not to mention good weather except for one game.

Now that the mentality of the student body has changed for them to show up at the game, we have to shift again to get them to participate in the cheering of our team.

I think for the first time in awhile, Liberty football knew what it was like to have a true-homefield advantage. Our stadium is very condusive to holding a lot of noise.

Overall, a big step forward for Liberty football this season.
