Chapman was the firebrand of the team, with his off the field troubles and the response that went with it. With him gone, hopefully the line can step up and make a name for itself. Lewellyn was awarded most improved player from spring practice so he will be one to watch along with Schuster. Varol finished tied for second in sacks with Walt Aikens while Bah, who was moved over from the offense, surprisingly led the team with 4. This could be a very dangerous unit, especially with the addition of mid-year transfers Jibrille Fewell and Max Sommer.

Like I said, this whole unit could be dangerous. Just because I don't mention someone by name doesn't necessarily mean I don't think highly of their prospects for next year. I see lots of good competition once the freshmen roll in end of July.

Its a deep bunch potentially. you have a guy who started as a walk-on who was voted most improved defensive player from spring practice and could be a starter come the fall (Lewellyn), you have a converted TE who led the team in sacks, and some very patient redshirts who played behind transfers the last couple years. This is gonna be a very good bunch on both sides of the line this fall. I would agree though manson that Corey has the potential to open quite a few eyes as well this fall
