If New Hampshire loses, they still have 7D1 wins including a victory over Lehigh and will probably be in the playoffs, but it will depend on how many other teams (Indiana State, Illinois State, Youngstown State, Wofford, James Madison) from the CAA, MVFC or Southern reach or remain at 7D1 wins. I think a CAA team with 7D1 wins will make it this year.

But perennially strong programs such as Delaware, Wofford and Liberty and perhaps a surging Portland State squad that could move to 8-3 on Saturday face having playoff-worthy resumes that don't include seven D-I wins.

"We're going to have to look at that this year. There's a number of quality teams out there that that might be the case," O'Day said.

"I think we look at that seven-win plateau as a benchmark. It helps us work the field a little bit. It's not one that we absolutely have to hang out hats on. But it is one we give a great deal of respect for as far as criteria. But there certainly can be instances, especially this year when you've got so many teams that are right in that area."

It's been said that we have to win Saturday to be in, but does this mean there a glimmer of hope if we don't? just curious.

Think about who we've lost to. An ACC team, and 3 ranked teams (if we lose to SB). By those numbers, we should get in (and look at GSU and western illinois who did pretty much just that last year and still got in).

Having said that in reality, we won't get in if we don't win. Simple as that.
