because this isn't some kind of minor league system or European premier garbage. It doesn't work like that. The qualifications having nothing to do with on-field success. You need money and attendance. Once you're in a better conference, you open up a new world of players who wouldn't have given you the time of day previously. Then again when you move to FBS and then some more if you move up in a more prestigious conference on that level. Would those guys care that we hadn't won a playoff game with guys that graduated 10 years ago?

Agreed. Those arguing we need to win playoff games first (while i agree we do need to win playoff games or even "big" games) are forgetting about teams such as South Alabama, who had no program at all and is starting up from scratch and jumping into the sun belt. So that argument is kind of out the window considering they have zero fcs history, so if we have attendance, facilities, etc. lets goooooooo!!!
