I know the game is a little ways away, but here's an interesting article.

HARRISONBURG — Dae'Quan Scott hasn't played running back since his sophomore year at Robert E. Lee High School. Until now.
"My receivers coach brought me in there, because I started off going to meetings with them," Scott said. "Then he said, 'we're going to need you to play running back.' He was like, 'You don't have to do it.' I was like, 'I'll do it, because I just want to help the team out.' He was like, 'We're going to need to get you the ball.'"

pretty good numbers at qb. IF they are moving him to RB they must have a good qb option otherwise they would continue to let him get reps at qb. However this should be one heck of a game come the 17th.

Nice article in today's paper about JMU's stadium, which now seats 25,000 (bigger than LU's at 19,200). The paper even has pic of the new stadium, but I didn't see it in the online version.

The past two games against JMU have been the highlight of the season for me. Hopefully we can continue to schedule them. I heard the new stadium has fire work launchers built in.

I heard they won't be needing those when we head up there next year.

He wasn't going to be an option at QB this year anyway.

He was the QB in those final two games only in that he took the snap directly from center...running on every play. In those games, he attempted only two passes (one INT one completion). He had been a WR all year, and he only came in at QB and played when the season was already over and we all new Drew Dudzik wasn't working out. Thorpe was injured so we really had no backup QB at the time.

I'm thinking Justin Thorpe will be JMU's QB to start the season and not Billy Cosh, rFR transfer from Kansas State. Thorpe played in the monsoon in 2009 and was 2009 CAA Rookie of the Year but was injured in the first game of last season.

I need 3 tickets for this game does anyone know what kind of deal they have for veterans? I know some schools let military personnel in for free. Anyone have connections with the ticketing office?

Hey Mike, I would keep an eye out on ticket deals. I know the office runs some during the season.

Sounds like JMU "club access members" enjoy food and beverage service through the 3 quarter. That's really nice.

Our club level looks nicer- sans the bar, of course! I prefer the concrete stands we have over the metal structure, and our tower is nicer all the way around- except we have no escalators. They have a nice facility, but if we had spent as much as they did, we'd be closer to Lane Stadium than just having a nice FCS facility.

I think it's "very" nice that they offer complementary food and drinks through the third quarter. IM sure JMU donors enjoy it at halftime.... hint, hint ...
