Yep, but I actually believe we can keep it close with a GOOD chance to win at the end. But yes, I'd be very ok with a close loss. Especially since it really woould not hurt us.

I'm somewhere between Manson and SJ believe it or not. I want to win at NCSU and believe strongly that we can. But, if we lose a close one here and win everyother game then I'm still extatic. If we lose 1 other (JMU or Lehigh) and win the big south outright, I'm still happy.

It was a great day to be a Flame Jon...and we ended up winning 8 of our next 9 games, only twice winning by single digits. If we can get the upset here, there is potential for a real snowball effect on the season, but if we have an outcome like we did against WVU (where we lose but we represent well), we still could have a particularly dominating season just like we did that year.

So did most of the WVU fans--and they told me so. We earned THEIR respect.

I felt the same way leaving the stadium that day. We were heckled and cursed on our way into the stadium before the game, and when we left, we were met with "great game" , "heck of a football team", and "good luck the rest of the season". LU earned a lot of respect that day. Hope the guys make a big statement at NC State as well--win or lose.
