SuperJon runs a 4.10, HoldMyOwn was clocked at 4.23.

BJ ran 3.7, but someone convinced him that he was able to start with a 20 yard headstart...

Now if you are talking a true player - It would be SCAR - the guys on TV an gets all the ladies... I saw him the other day with a hot blond;)

Looking at our stats from 09 probably Mike Brown is our fastest guy. Even as our QB he was #2 on the team in rushing (and one of only three players with a run of >50 yards, the others being Danny Broggin and BJ Hayes) AA and SirChauncey have some good wheels as well. Danny Broggin is taking his speed to the defensive side of the ball. As for the WRs, of the guys coming back, Summers has a chance to really break out. I think SJ and our resident scribe can offer more insight on who looked like the real burners in spring ball.

Mike's not even in the top three and quite possibly not in the top five in terms of pure speed.

Speed is relative based on a number of factors. Are we talking 40 times? 100-yard sprints? Or are we assessing quickness that would best be measured in shuttle drills?

From what I have seen I would have to say Chase is at least top 3 if not at the very top.

Based on what I have seen by watching the games on TV I would say BJ Hayes would be the fastest. But I hear that Ervin Garner and Pratt from Troy State are even faster.

I believe prior to his injury Donald Manns had the fastest 40 time on the squad. If he is fully recovered, I would think he is back in the mix for that honor.

Your are on the right track prior to the dislocation and broken leg Donald ran 4.32, 4.31. When he first arrived on Liberty mountain he played football and ran track.

The fastest guy at LU isn't even on the football roster...yet. There is a certain Kenyan on the mountain who might be willing to put some pads on and do some WR duty as long as he can run "go" routes all game long. After about 30 minutes, there are only 2 people in the world that are faster than him, and they are both out of eligibility.

The 4x100 guys made the final and finished 7th. Overall, our men's team finished second in the meet to UConn.

not bad. i know we won ic4a's back in 1996. losing to UConn isn't too bad. what's funny is that on the national scene, LU T&F is always ranked top 25...lol not that it gets much play.
