I'm glad they put the turf down infront of the building as well. Would have sucked for our first home game to be looking at red clay.

Is that turf there or sod?

The other side of the building still needs some work, but at least they focused on getting the side facing the field done first.

Sod in front of the building.

Looks like they are getting ready to pave the front, too.

this place looks very nice. i went to practice today and saw the great job that they are doing. they have little trees and plants around the building to give it a really nice look. they laid down some grass right behind the field and have all of the side walks done. the little patio they made looks good... all they have to do now is finish up those windows and i think the outside should be done

From the pics it looks as if they got rid of the net in front of the building. I am glad they did if it is the case.

Without the net, it will be target practice on the video guys perched on top.

That'd be one heck of a kick...isn't the building 20 or more yards behind the goalposts? It would be funny to see a kicker lining up for an extra point like he is going for a 55 yarder.

One of the machines spreading the sand/rubber accidentally hooked the net and pulled the pole it was on nearly to the ground. They're having to cut the pole below the turf, then they're going to move the poles back a bit. It will require having pieces of green turf sewn in to cover the holes.

Maybe next year they can poach some extra turf and put it down around the FOC...then instead of mowing, they would just have to vacuum the yard with the special turf machine. However, with the sod, hopefully the guy who cuts the sod will not accidentally roll over the turf part.

I wouldn't mind seeing something like University of Delaware has as a natural hedgeline on the FOC end of the stadium:

The poles are going in but further back just off the FieldTurf. Yesterday, there were two places where the sod was peeled back in front of the FOC with a couple of open holes waiting for the spot welders to finish up on the poles.
