The Big South will have it on-line for free...
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference will again video stream live its annual Football Media Day Luncheon, with this year’s event taking place at The Westin Charlotte on Friday, July 28. The free, live web stream will be available from 12:00-1:30pm on www.BigSouthSports.com, and will feature all five head coaches and the Conference preseason players of the year addressing print, radio and TV reporters during the luncheon. In addition, one-on-one interviews also will be available via video-on-demand following the live broadcast.

Visitors can access Friday’s video stream by clicking on the “Watch Live” icon, which will re-direct them to the Big South’s premium content site, “The EDGE,” to make their viewing selection. To view the event, select “Football Media Day” and a new window will open the live stream.
As part of its collaboration with internet solutions partner XOS Technologies, the Big South Conference begins its second year video streaming its special events and Conference Championships in 2006-07. The video stream of Football Media Day, which will also be available on a video-on-demand basis for subscribers of The EDGE, requires a high-speed internet connection (DSL, cable or above), Microsoft Windows Media Player 9.0 or greater downloaded and installed, and a screen resolution of 800x600 or greater, among other requirements. An annual subscription of The EDGE costs $69.95 and runs one year from the date of sign-up and includes live sporting events and championships, interviews and exclusive access to on-demand video and features.

The complete 2006-07 video streaming schedule will be announced as it is finalized.

I will be down there with Chris and will have some photo's and audio content

If press conferences are your cup of tea, enjoy. Otherwise, wait for the greatest hits in audio or in print. The luncheon, at least, is B-O-R-I-N-G.

The good folks at the home office could learn a thing or two from any yahoo on YouTube about how to set up audio for a webcast.
