He now claims an offer from Florida where he is heavily leaning. There is a highlight video link in his Rivals Profile.

So we have to beat out Florida. Great. Hey, I guess if he wants PT, he knows where we are.

in watching that Highlight reel, the kid obviously has some sick raw speed, but in the open field as he did was cut back on a few runs. I mean i saw no shake and bake moves, it just look like his team was playing crappy competition. Maybe im wrong though.

Forget the "shake", it's way overrated. Looks like this kid has plenty of "bake". As far as the quality of opposition is concerned, fancy moves become LESS effective as it improves. Ask Reggie Bush.

I just figured at 155lbs, he will need both in college....the slightest breeze could blow him over....

Hallandale usually plays in very tough district with Belle Glades Central (either 2nd or 3rd in the nation for most players in the NFL or college). I havn't followed south Florida football in awhile since they switch regions so I don't have a clue now.

Yeah, this kid that wasn't even on Rivals' radar this summer is now listed as a 4-Star prospect.
GatorBait.net wrote:"My dad noticed it and brought it to my attention," said Hammond as to his new found status as a Rivals250 member. "It was a big surprise, but it really hasn't set in yet. Looking back on it, I didn't think I would be here (highly rated) right now.

"I still have to go out and play like I played every other game before."
GatorBait.net wrote:"The same schools are still recruiting me," replied Hammond. "Florida, Miami and Boston College are the main ones. Liberty and Middle Tennessee State are also."

As far as his commitment to the Gators is concerned, he had this to say. "I'm still a soft commitment. I'll still take some visits to compare how I feel at Florida, Miami and Boston College. Those are the three visits I know about."

I am fairly certain this kid committed to Florida a few weeks ago.
