Well, I just put two and two together to figure out madmat is Godsil's dad. Later, I will perform a new trick by rubbing two sticks together to make fire.

Thanks, madmat. Frankly I am enthusiastic about having so many young guys in the trenches with game experience. This bodes well not only for this fall but the next couple of seasons. As the Patriots have shown us, you build success from the line of scrimmage out. Fortunately we have seem to have plenty of talent at the skill positions as well.

I always love a new england shout out...we've all seen the amount of players cast of by the NFL League as in their decline, only to be picked by New England, Fit into the system and developed into champions or molded like they chose Stephen Neal a former college wrestler, now that's creativity...like great undervalued stocks, pick em and win.

rats, I've been found out. There goes my facade of objectivity. I will try to not be a "parent" who sees his child as infallible. From north central Ohio, this forum has been a valued connection. I appreciate the exchange. I was also Mike and Bryan Mosier's head football coach. . In Getting some player feedback from this position, things look good from here. Chris, you are on top of your journalistic game

Good mix on this site, Aunts, Dads, h.s.coaches, alumni, media, current students, fans. Other parties to be heard from here:LU coaches, JF, and divine intervention.......

madmat ... keep speaking the truth. I learned something about line blocking I never knew until today. Good stuff there.

Hey Chris...you see any guys at DB that could contribute right away in spring ball? If not, any of the incoming guys a possibility?

Moon left for grades and problems w/ the Liberty Way.
Otah left for grades and problem w/ the Liberty Way.
Fluellen left because he wasn't getting enough PT.

Renick never played O-line last year.

B.J. ... I really liked what Greiser was able to do. He covered tight ends and slower receivers well and can hit. That TD pass he broke up in the spring game was a real nice play.

He was on the wrong end of the block of the spring game, though, when Brock Smith laid him out on an option play. Even if Dickerson is the starter at SS next year, I think Greiser will see a lot of playing time because he's talented and has a nose for hitting.

Pierre Penn played very well as a sort of hybrid linebacker/safety at the end of last season and I can see him having an impact at free safety in the fall. Calvary was outstanding last year and Michael Corrall starting showing life at the end too.

As an addendum to my earlier post, Godsil has been the exception that proves the rule. Godsil did play very well last year and as well any freshman I've seen play O-line at this level. However, it was obvious that he had significant room for improvement as a freshman (which he would tell you) and I expect to see some great things out of him this year and down the line.

you would ask that? I don't think that Chris would spend time on the Marching Band when H.S sports aren't his favorite, I doubt the band would be higher on his list!!!!!
