Offensive Player of the Week is shared, but our QB gets a part of that share:
Smith, a junior from Hershey, Pa., was responsible for four of Liberty’s 10 touchdowns against VMI Saturday. He was 11-of-14 passing (78.8 percent) for 246 yards with three touchdown passes and no interceptions, marking his third-straight game over 245 passing yards, as well as his third game with at least three touchdown passes. Smith also had a nine-yard TD run in the first quarter – his first touchdown run of the season, and helped Liberty average 8.8 yards per play against the Keydets.
Special Teams Player of the Week goes to...our entire Special Teams Unit!
Liberty’s entire special teams unit played a deciding factor in the Flames’ 73-34 win over VMI, accounting for 25 points. Dominic Bolden returned three kickoffs for a Big South single-game record 198 yards, including an 83-yarder for a score in addition to a 78-yard return to open the game. In the third quarter, Jonathan Crawford returned a punt 65 yards for a touchdown, marking the first time that LU returned a kickoff and punt for a touchdown in the same game since late last year. Placekicker Noah Greenbaum set a Big South record for PATs, going 10-for-10 on the day, and finished with 13 points, his Conference-record fifth 10-point kicking game of the season. Furthermore, the Flames blocked an extra point attempt, and held VMI to an average of 15.2 yards on kickoff returns.

That's an interesting take by the league.

Congrats to Brock and all of those involved in the special teams on Saturday in Wynton's absence.

As for the freshman honors, you knew they wouldn't give it top a deserving Flame with us getting love in the offensive & special teams honors. But Jonathan deserved the honor over the guy who won it. Everyone knows it.

Thanks for catching my brain fart. But the Big South bias lives nonetheless. 8)

Crawford was here during the Karcher years, but left because of, well, Karcher.

I've been impressed by what Crawford has done in his limited time at WR. (not to mention productivity on punt returns that's pretty hard to top!) I think next year Dominic will be our home run hitter and Crawford will have an increased role as we transition to the tall younguns, Sanderson and Summers.

glad Brock finally got it this year. I am so proud of the entire team.. I just wish they could make the play-offs..I know they must be voted in, can you give me the run-down if and when.

I also think Notre-Dame would get beat.

Congrats to Brock and special teams. Coach Wilt has done an amazing job with them, and is always fun to watch him running up and down the field.

Ohhh 6-7?? Man, wrap it up then 😭
