Liberty University football coach Danny Rocco had reason to be downcast at his team's kicking situation at the end of spring practice.
Punter Ben Beasley was set to graduate. Kicker Zac Kolegue was on the shelf after knee surgery. The only punter was a walk-on wearing a number in the 60s.

Sophomore Wes Cheek made an impression by scoring two touchdowns in Liberty's April spring game. He'll run the ball Saturday, but Rocco expects to use him as a backup to punter Zac Kolegue. "He'll probably punt in the opener," Rocco said.
i was really intrigued by the cheek deal. i hope he can help us. as far a noah is concerned i remember seeing him kick during pregame at UVA and he looked pretty solid but was behind a guy who just had a better leg. im looking forward to seeing noah help us out.
