Smoothie, I don't wanna name it after one coach because then we'd hafta get new shirts for soccer games, basketball games, etc. The sponsor on the back would be awesome and I'm hoping that's how we can work this out. I want to do bus trips. There are three games that would be legit to go to next year in football.

AD Barber made an interesting announcement in convocation yesterday about the formation of a Student Flames Club. Its $25, you get a free T-shirt and you get a lot of the same benefits as the $50 regular flames club members, not to mention they will have a student tailgate setup before the home football games and they will get to work with the cheerleaders and I believe even the band on cheers during the game. Other details are kinda fuzzy but I will post details once I get a hold of them.

I wonder if the students will want to be involved in something run by the "old guys" though. I'd be willing to bet if SJ gets his ideas off the ground you'll see a ton of participation- he's great! Nuts, but great!

I'm hoping there'll be work with the "old guys" but I want us to have our own deal. I, personally, don't want to be named a Student Flames Club. I'd like to have something seperated from them, name wise.

There actually was a student booth in the main hall of Demoss today for the Student Flames Club. They already had t-shirts made up as well.

get in barber's ear and get the club named changed. if enough students voice their opinions, they will have to be heard. just do it the right way and be respectful.

Why not just tack the $25 on as a student activity fee next year. That should do it.
