There's no way to lock up a conference title after only two conference games. PC's not a conference game this year. October 20 is Chuck South, November 3rd is Coastal. You have to win at least 3 games to win a conference title (90% of the time) so the day you need to circle is November 10th. Even then, both us and G-W could be going into our game at 3-0 so it wouldn't be decided until the 18th of November.

ok. I probably should have gotten a look at the schedule before I said what I said. Anyway, itll be a huge psychological boost to knock off the chants since we have lost to them the last three meetings

For some reason I'm more afraid of Gardner-Webb than the Chants this year...I dunno why, but I just have this gut feeling.

I feel the same as you ATrain, I don't think we'll lose at home, but that game against GW could and hopefully will have a lot riding on it.

Did you hear mention of him by the other coaches? Everybody loves Rocco.
Was that sarcastic? I'm taking it that it was.
No. Everyone seemed to be talking favorably about LU and what we're doing. Though it's probably not good news for them, the other coaches seemed admirable.

If we played G-W in September, I would agree with you. However, we play them the last game of the season. They have to go to Ohio, Mississippi State, Wofford, and App in the first six weeks. We get them the week after they go to Coastal. That's five road games that are going to kill them. If they have anything left by November 18 I'd be surprised.

Alright, thanks. I wasn't sure if that was a sarcastic remark or not.

If it is for the conference championship, trust me, any team will have something left, especially if they get on a win streak beating CSU VMI and then possibly Coastal..

GW Schedule
Sat, Oct 20 VMI
Sat, Oct 27 Charleston Southern
Sat, Nov 03 Savannah State

Sat, Nov 10 Coastal Carolina *
Sat, Nov 17 Liberty

I can see their momentum building especially if they knock off coastal.. If you look at it, their schedule in conference play is set up perfectly.. Get through the lighter foes, sit and watch the coastal and Liberty game, and by time the next week, they will know what they have to do to win a championship..

I agree completely Coach. I just don't know what they'll have left going into those games. You know how hard it is to play in Lexington. If they slip up and lose that game, that could be the end of them. However, if they win the VMI game, they blow through CSU and SSU, and then go to Coastal with a TON of momentum with Coastal hopefully a little deflated (coming off an LU loss).

If they can make it through the first six weeks healthy, watch out.

That's a lot of love for our offense. I'm a bit surprised--I expected more for our defense and less for the offense.
