Russian-Georgian Conflict

Anybody else finding this quickly developing tension fascinating?

A member of my Sunday School class just finished up a tour in Iraq this past month as an Army chaplain. He talked about how much of his time was spent with the Georgian troops who tended to be devoutly Greek Orthodox. Now the US is airlifting them home to Georgia to defend their own land. This has a great deal of potential to have a real impact here in the states considering the access to the Black Sea oil fields.

A friend of mine worked in the embassy in the Republic of Georgia for a few years. They love America, and they love there freedom. Russia is trying thier best to squash this freedom. Pray for the Georgians!

I'm shocked more people aren't talking about this. ESPN has a story about the Hawks re-signing Josh Smith and no mention that the whole town might be overrun by the Russian military.

Bada bing!

Seriously this is a very clear example of Russian aggression and proof that Putin is feeling his oats.
