OK, I've always been cool with most political campaining tactics by supporters. I have put out yard signs and bumper stickers, etc. myself over the years. However the Obama t-shirt thing is really starting to pluck my nerves. People wear them to work all the time now. I especially hate the "Obama is my Homeboy" one. Please, have some respect for the process. I think I need to by one of the nobama ones and wear it to work and see how long it is until I'm asked to change. Maybe I'll get a shirt with this logo:

I don't think I've ever had a desire to put a bumper sticker, wear a t-shirt, etc. of any political figure or party. If wearing a t-shirt entices someone to vote for my candidate, I don't want them voting in the first place. All these t-shirts do in my head is scream "I know a lot and want to argue about politics. Come on and try me."
I always get a great laugh out of people who still have Kerry/Edwards, Bush/Cheney, or Gore/Lieberman bumper stickers on their cars. I did like the "Sore/Loserman" bumper stickers back in the day though, but not enough to put it on my car or wear a t-shirt with it on it.

The shirts just seem like something you'd wear for a band or athlete you like not a Possible President.

I agree. Here's another pet-peeve: Tucson is a big Democrat town and it seems like everyone has some bumper sticker that's anti-Bush. They put it on like it's a badge of honor. Factor in the blogs and it seems like the Democratic party's activism has come down to "Blogs and Bumperstickers".
Maybe it's because I'm surrounded by them, but this really seems like a Democrat thing.

You should make a T-shirt from my avatar.
