...is like watching (insert least favorite sports team here) win the championship, only stretched out over the course of nine months.

That's a good point. Hats off to Senators Dodd, Johnson, Reed, Schumer, Bayh, Carper, Menendez, Akaka, Brown, Casey, Tester, Shelby, Bennett, Allard, Enzi, Hagel, Bunning, Crapo, Dole, Martinez, and Corker.
Wait, whaaaa????

What's so funny/disturbing about that is, I'm not so sure he was lying. Taking into account his lack of time in Washington, I wouldn't be surprised if he really didn't know he was or wasn't on that committee.
I've always thought that Senators should HAVE to resign their posts when running for a higher office. They're doing a disservice to their people, and it sure would make the politics game a lot more interesting. You'd really have to think twice before deciding to run.

The really sad thing about Obama and committees is that he is chair of the Senate Subcommittee on Europe and NATO affairs... and while he is touting what to do in Afghanistan, Afghanistan is a NATO operation... yet he has never bothered to hold a hearing on the matter.
The guy spent 142 days in the Senate before saying "I'm qualified to run for President".
And yet -- 50+ million people are going to vote for him in November.
You guys are missing the point. He represents hope and change. That is enough for me!

I'm vehemently opposed to hope. Go McCain!

Here's to hoping that Barack can get that wily Constitution to be superseded by UN Law.

I'm not sure I would go that far, but after watching 200.000 people gather for a hope and change rally in Berlin, where most of the crowd didn't even speak English, I got a funny feeling in my stomach. They interviewed one guy who, through and interpreter, said that he didn't have to understand English to feel the power of Obama's presence. Yikes.
Okay, maybe I would go that far.

It is amazing the MSM conveniently forgets to mention that there was a FREE concert with FREE food and FREE drinks. In any large city around the world, you can draw a large crowd with those three FREEBIES. I think I'll put in a call to Bono today (Sly, do you have his contact info?) and see if we can set up a free concert with food and drinks so that I can stand up and the people can hear a white man rant. After a few drinks, they'll be saying, "Dude, I don't understand what he said, but I can feel the power of that white guy!"

"alright first things first lets get them troops home..."
"uh mr president can we speak to you for a minute?"
"certainly"
*closed door meeting*
barack state of the union - "we need to finish what we started in this war and do what it takes and if that means keeping troops there thats what it means"

Obama will be as efficient as Jimmy Carter as president. All we need is a photo of those two clowns side by side, only with Jimmy's smile imposed on Barack

Based on the events of the past two days on this board, once King Obama takes over, he will surely have flamefans shut down for good.
By the way, it took a while for things to get going, but once they did, the Obama attacks have been great!

I stand by my above statements. I dont know how much media coverage he gets everywhere else other than virginia, but its far worse here in chicago. Its like he sneezes and the media is there to talk about how great it is to see this great man is still human, he sneezes.
Just something about how first of all, why the heck is a candidate for the US Presidency doing a rally in Germany, where they cant vote for him? Then he makes the statements that the president of the US is the ruler of the world, and then he said something last week, not I represent change, im all about change, nothing like that, instead he went with "I am Change." Very similar to one of the only people I can think of who ever said "I am" anything, only that person was God and had the right to do it.
I just cant believe the liberals dont see that he has no experience, hes been a JR senator for a couple of years, but the only two elections hes ever been in have been handed to him, both of them had something come up a week or two before the election that the other candidate would have to drop out.
And Im not all about Mccain, I cant stand him, But people who support Obama are on Crack.

According to Barack, he is qualified to be President! Wait, no, that's not what he said...
