LUconn wrote:That show is seriously something else. The host either is the most gullible man on earth or is the best poker player on earth. There is no in between. Some of his callers are obviously just making it up as they go along, and he's just hanging on every word.

i'm listening right now and its phenominal....i really can't believe that he believes it all...he does a great job of making them feel comfortable which i think in turn makes them more open to talk...

today's gems..

a big foot hunter who doesn't have any proof calling another big foot hunter who doesn't have any proof who people are paying to take on tours of a forest a scam artist....hilarious..

right now a lady is talking about having grey aliens (aliens that look very similar to humans) breaking into her house, rummaging through her things, stealing her electronics, and one had suspenders on....

They play this show middays in the Q-Cs? I thought it was banished to overnights everywhere.

Ahh ....

I once was asked about working for a station in Guam. The pay was decent and I was promised an island paradise. Thankfully I passed.

Why? You know the Japanese surrendered, right?

I had friends who did work there and they felt so isolated that it was driving them clinically insane. But I've also known many military folks stationed there who loved it. Consider me happy with how things worked out.

I spent 10 weeks living on Guam working for Trans World Radio. Loved it. 110,000 American service people, US money and school system plus a tropical island with lots of historical sights related to WWII. Due to the time difference, I got to listen to MLB games on the radio during my ride to work in the mornings. Kinda hard to be lonely. We used to go out in the jungle to visit the water falls.

That pay was probably good, if you weren't living in Guam, that is..

I had a solid offer about 7 years ago to work for a station in the Caribbean, for a salary that would have been great...
...in America. The island where the station was...eh, not so much.

I still wonder how that might of worked, but going broke, in a foreign country, right out of college...not a risk I was willing to take
at that point in my life.
