Our church youth group leaves this weekend for a Passport Youth Camp at Gordon College in Wenham, Mass, just north of Boston. I'm going along as a driver/chaperone, and we will have parts of 2 days to sightsee, and I wondered if any FF's are locals of that area and could give me some recommendations. I've been there 4 times, so I know the area a little, but I'd welcome hearing what you all have to say. Right now, here are what I'm considering as options:

--tour of Fenway Park
--Quincy Market for lunch or dinner
--Concord & Walden Pond
--Hampton Beach in NH

I would figure you for a tour of Longfellow's, Lowell's, or Holmes' old stomping grounds.

If you're into any history:
The Old North Church
The Boston Tea Party Exhibit

And of course what visit would be complete with a trip to the Cheers bar:
There is the outside facade that was featured on the TV Show, and the replica of the TV set is in Quincy Market.

Oh yeah, anyone with a southern accent will be asked if they're from England.

Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall is great...lots to see and places to eat.

If you are heading to Hampton, you may want to check out the Salem Witch Museum..heard it is pretty cool and not as dull as watching fish swim around...

Hampton Beach is pretty busy this time of year. I have heard mixed about it....many have told me it isn't the cleanest of the east coast beach areas (the strip) but once you get on the beach and the ocean, its good.

Make sure you have a gps...Boston roads can be very confusing...lots of one ways.

Most of the Duck Boat businesses down this direction have gone out of business the past couple of years. Are they still doing well on the East Coast? The novelty wore off after awhile down here.
