Physicists discount man-made global warming.

Found this interesting on Drudge.

"The American Physical Society, an organization representing nearly 50,000 physicists, has reversed its stance on climate change and is now proclaiming that many of its members disbelieve in human-induced global warming. The APS is also sponsoring public debate on the validity of global warming science. The leadership of the society had previously called the evidence for global warming "incontrovertible.""

They're all obviously paid off by the oil/gas/coal companies, because that is the most reasonable conclusion I can come up with.

historically there have been cyclical warming and cooling periods both before and after the advent of coal and other fuels, so why is it that you dismiss the fact that it could be possible that global warming isn't caused by humans?

1) I'm an energy trader for a coal/gas burning utility.

2) I'll never state a "fact" that had "could be possible" in the phrase.

I'll let you sort out the meaning in that last line.

Well then, do you admit that God doesn't exist since it can't be proven for fact that he exists, that it's only a possibility that God could exist?

That question can get regressive really quickly never mind the irrelevancy to your statement of “the fact that it could be possible that global warming isn't caused by humans?”

I would never say “God could exist” or “God could not exist” and then claim that as a fact statement. That’s what you did. You stated a hypothetical and called it fact.

I was questioning your language use. You say “fact” trying to come at me strong after you completely misread my original statement and then you wimp out with a “could be possible” comment allowing yourself an out if the kitchen gets too hot. You got called out on it.

In the original post maybe I should be clearer and not so sarcastic - this society of physicists just backed off a major position which is almost heresy in these times.

Probably because they saw the light and realized that much of this mmgw "research" that has been conducted is filled with flase truths.

PS - nice job handling my comeback (no sarcasm intended at all). my respect for you went through the roof for your handling of it, I figured it would have been more along the lines of the typical radical Christian loony bin from Lynchburg.

No worries. I am a radical Christian. I believe truth is absolute and can be justified as such by the human mind. Lots of people fail at this. I do to.
