OK, I admit it. I'm old, a creature of habit, and in short boring. Except for church or the occasional special occasion, I have worn almost identical white, low top athletic shoes every day of my life for more years than I care to mention. For as long as I can remember, I have bought them either at A&N or Value city because I could get name brand shoes like Reebok, K-Swiss and sometimes even Nike for under $40.00 (and sometimes a lot less). Both stores have now met their demise here in the burg. Any suggestions?

Shoebuy.com is good for this reason also (no sales tax to boot). When I made my first purchase I received a 10% discount. I also happened to have a 20% coupon, so I ended up getting a $90 pair of Doc Martens for $60.

i have bought over $500 dollars worth of shoes off of ebay for about $100.

3 pairs were lightly worn and the other 3 were brand new.

my father has also bought roughly 3,000 dollars worth of dress shoes for around 500 bucks off of ebay....

I have a couple pairs of Starbury's and they're really good sneakers. They sell some fugly looking ones but there are a few nice looking pairs. $14.98 for any of them. Actually, now that I'm looking around online I think some of them have been dropped to $8.98

The white "downtown" model looks like it's what you're looking for.

They have a few pairs that are legit

PS Ebay is a great place to get shoes...I bought 3 pair of $160 Air Max's for $30....I read an article that said that Nike workers in other countries work a few hours after they close to make a few pairs for themselves...and often they are getting sold on the black market

That sounds like a line from a bad Kanye or Jay-Z song that HMO would put as his status on Facebook.

you're stupid. Look at the Trex. The one that they show on the main page is ugly but the other color options look good. Same with the Crib.

I need to go look at Steve and Barry's again and see if they have anything conservative enough. last time I looked I just didn't see anything that suited an :oldhag like me. The price is definately right.

Velcro? Not cool at all but they were $8 and I never wear shoes so I wasn't about to spend a ton of money for something I rarely wear.

I have gotten plain white sneakers at Steve & Berry's. The soles did fall off after about 6 months for me.

Aren't there a couple of Payless shoe stores in L-burg...I think there's a new one near Target.

OK, I found a pair at this place online that looks just like what I want, in my price range, no tax and free overnight shipping. Let you know tomorrow if I like them.

http://www.endless.com

Found out about it through some spam Amazon sent me. They have some kind of partnership.
