Is it possible to still get an objective review from you or will I have to wait until someone else gets it?

In what reference? Are you going to cry during the review? Am I going to cry playing it? I need to know!

I am really interested in getting a WII fit. It looks like a good idea and seems to have some benefit. I don't know how accurate the BMI type read outs can be but I do know that the basics of keeping you fit are there. Looking forward to the boxing!

in all honesty, i played it for an hour...did all the games and stuff like that....if you want to call that exercise by all means go ahead but it gave me a bmi of 32 and i played for an hour and wasn't even tired...i can't imagine i burned too many calories...

i thought it was stupid and i will probably never do it again....either give me a good workout or make it fun....it did neither..

As much as I want a WiiFit, I can justify plunking down $90 bucks, especially since playing WiiSport, particularly the boxing, gives me a pretty good workout as it is.

That said, I **really** want to try the WiiFit board with the We Ski game. I mean...it just looks AWESOME.

Okay Mallet...how long before you the buy the pole & Carmen Electra's Pole dancing?
Carmen Electra Pole Dancing Wii Game Could Be Coming

The company that brought us the Carmen Electra home pole dancing kit is seeking a partner to help launch a pole dancing version of Nintendo’s Wii.

“According to the report, Peekaboo Pole Dancing, the company behind the Carmen Electra home pole dancing kit, is looking to bring the new exercise to the makers of the game. The report speculates, “Pole dancing would certainly be an interesting fit for the Nintendo Wii, and it would be something to see how big of a pole they would actually ship with a game.”

Wii Fit was absolutely insulting to my friend...and just mildly offensive towards me, lol. It was kinda fun...

I was thinking about about getting the Wii Fit. Is the general consensus here still that it's not a good investment??

I have an idea. How about buying a pair of running shoes and getting ACTUALLY Fit, not just Wii Fit?

Running is not a lot of fun for a lot of people.

It is actually mind numbingly boring. If I were to choose any fitness activity to get me on the road to healthiness, running would be close to dead last if not dead last because I'd quit doing it in a week or two do to the high level of boredom it entails.

running is quite possibly the stupidest thing in the world....

have you ever seen someone running down the road smiling? no....1/2 the people i see look like they are ready to throw themselves onto oncoming traffic....completely miserable.

btw, i still think the wii fit is stupid. great workouts....stick your foot in the air.....step up then step down over and over again. lean from side to side....oooo feel the burn.....the japanese heard we were morons from the french ("hey we sold them bottled water")and the japanese believed them.

I already have running shoes. I'm looking for alternatives to running and the gym all the time. The same old routine gets a little boring. I wanted to play rec basketball or kickball, but I missed the deadline to join a team :(

lame excuse, go to the basketball gym with friends and play. you don't need to have a rec team to play basketball - I play every Tuesday and Thursday at school without a team.

Here's an idea.....get a teenage son who's into working out. Try and stay ahead of him. You'll be in shape in no time! It's working for me. Wii fit whatever! Son fit is it!

It's right above "walking" -- I walk enough during the day, do I seriously need to walk around the block three times?

Running is definitely not for everyone. It is more for people who are self-motivated and can handle all kinds of work for a small amount of improvement. Running is my time to do my thinking (I just got in from a 50 minute run where I figured out how to fix something at home that has been bugging me for a while). I know we live in a world where if we aren't connected to the internet, watching TV, or both, many people don't know what to do because they aren't being stimulated. Lynchburg is one of the best running towns I have ever been to. You can get on a trail and go for miles without seeing the same thing. If that is boring to you, that's your deal. Maybe try running with your blackberry, ipod, and a portable TV. That should keep you occupied. Or better yet, just join the millions of Americans who sit around and get fat. (I'll end up paying for your medical bills, but whatever.)

Again, I'm not saying that running is for everyone, but to use boredom as an excuse is pretty dumb, IMO.

Shins splints and heel spurs. That's why I don't run.

I prefer a bike if anything.

Strengthen you calf muscles and the shin splints will be gone in no time. (not for running, but for any kind of physical activity)

I try to avoid impact of running for my knees with hoops & racquetball being obvious exceptions. Getting back to riding again is one of my goals for 2009.
