I came across a website a few years ago. They had every school and every coaches salary. Every sport, it was insane....of course I didnt book mark it so I really need help finding it again. Does anyone know of this site I'm talking about?



EDIT: It's one of these underground type sites.

We're a private school so they don't have to release the data. However, the IRS does. Dig through their crap and you can find it. That's all I'm saying.

The Chronicle of Higher Education publishes that kind of information once a year, or at least they used to.

LU files a 1099 form because they are a non-profit ministry (a 501 (c)(3), to be exact). You can get the records if you want, just mail Virginia's business bureau.

Because of that, they need to release the salaries of all its officers (VP's and such) and top five highest earning employees.

The most recent one, accessible online at guidestar.org, was its 2006 returns. Here are the top 5, FYI:
Carey Green ($161,000)
Ken Karcher ($134,007)
Brian Satterlee ($130,092)
Bruce Green ($127,001)
Barbara Baxter ($123,813).
238 employees made over $50,000.

Who is Baxter?

I think it's safe to assume there's been alot of changes in the top 5 over the past 2 years.

Thats just from LU...I hear he is quite the Business Consultant as well

I really wasnt wanting the site for LU salaries...it was pretty neat looking at the salaries of soccer coaches in the ACC and Volleyball and stuff...people making 6 figures that you never would have thought would be

satterlee also makes a ton off the textbooks he writes. he and his wife write the textbooks for management and another one, i think international. they are required, so they are hauling in on that also

Go to www.thestate.com (I think) and you can find any coach in South Carolina at a public school.

Nor was I, although I hear the starting salaries have gone up a bit in the past four years or so.
