Does anyone know why they played this on CBS last night? It was the series premiere from 07 that they showed. The show runs on TBS normally and is in its second season. I just don't get why CBS played it last night.

interesting you ask that. Because I noticed a few weeks ago on Sunday nights that NBC had shows that are originals on USA. I think it was Monk and Psych. I don't get that.

I understand that as NBC owns Universal. CBS doesn't own TBS though do they?

and now comes word that the show will air this Monday night on CBS. The second season of the show starts on TBS June 12 and the cable network is trying to get the show some attention. In return, CBS can plug their shows on TBS.

TBS will unveil the second season of its sitcom "The Bill Engvall Show" next week, and it's hit on a novel way to promote the series: Air it on another network.

The cable channel and CBS have struck a deal to air "Bill Engvall" on CBS Monday night (June 9). An episode from the show's first season will take the place of a "Big Bang Theory" rerun at 8 p.m. ET and promote the second-season premiere on TBS Thursday, June 12.

NBC is also sending Law and Order: CI to USA. (which, by the way, is THE best show out there, bar none.) So they definitely are working on the best set-up for ratings.

I want to know what law school all the defense attorneys on L&O: CI went to. They just sit there like humps and let Dinofrio or Noth stand over their client playing mind games and badger them incessantly, all while saying absolutely nothing until immediately after their guy confesses. It's like they earned their law degree as a merit badge.

SVU is way better than CI

Everyone says that, but Goren is by far the best detective in the entire L&O series. SVU has some really intense episodes, but CI is just very entertaining detective work. SVU is amazing tho, I have been watching the two of them all summer so far.

if Goren is the guy, he draws everything out and tries to make an obvious point last like 10 minutes. Sometimes its good, other times its annoying.

SVU has -- hands down -- the funniest/worst TV writing this side of CSI: Miami. Between the incessant social preaching, the utter lack of any sense of logic and the weekly theme of a character getting randomly wounded because they decided to check out the lead in the abandoned warehouse all by themselves which inevitably leads to the "you get better; we're gonna get this guy" moment, it's Tuesday night high comedy at the Fire house.

Seriously, when I watched the episode with Robin Williams in it, I laughed my Robin Williams off.

svu is one of the worst shows i've ever watched...every character is stupid...the white guy is a lunatic, the chick makes me want to punch a baby. ice t is your prototypical black person, munch is well...not funny....and now they got the indian from joe dirt who acts JUST LIKE THE INDIAN IN JOE DIRT....the storiess are horrible and the writing i think IS just as bad as CSI Miami...

btw, while its bad writing, CSI miami is #2 on my list of favorite csi's because its so hilarious....and because of Cally.

oh and i really don't like any of the law and orders....i find them mostly boring...

oh and one more complaint with svu

the constant bickering between the DA and the svu crew is utterly miserable and annoying...

"you are just going to let him go free!!!"

"you didn't get me any evidence"

"HE DID IT WE KNOW HE DID"

"get me evidence"

"DO YOUR JOB"

"there isn't much more i can do"

"YOU LOVE RAPERS"

Haha, yeah, I love the show but that is the DA vs. Detective interaction summed up pretty well.

Agreed. I gave up on '24' when they handed a major role to Sergei from 'Strip Mall' and then cast the whiny chick from 'Designing Women' as his wife.

The Unit was a great show.

I'm waiting for them to bring it back.

Sunday nights at either 9 or 10.

That's where shows go to die though.
