I can help with the A.C part... I go there 3 or 4 times a year... How long are you going to be in A.C?

White House Subs in AC. Its nothing to look at but the food and atmosphere make it worth your time.

I know Das Beast has to have a ton of info as well.

I always go to Carmine's inside the Trop... Also you can't go wrong with Wolfgang puck inside the Borgata....Also if you want steak Morton's is a good choice and if you want Asian food you have to try to Buddakan...Those are my top 4 for A.C... I have alot of great places for philly but they are all on the west side and some in Downingtown...Where in Philly are you going to be?

I second the white house. it's a shack with some great subs that many celebrities have been to.

Check out the pics in the TripAdvisor discussion of the White House. Some in there may be familiar.

Sorry for the lack of a reply..been on the road for a bit.

Sly is absolutely right on the White House Subs in AC. It's a hole in the wall,
but the food is fantastic. When I worked at TPIR Live, we ordered from there a LOT.

I haven't eaten in AC in a while, so things may have changed. That said, the Trop has
some fantastic food options for couples. The new pier at Caesar's has plenty of options, with
some of the best views around. That said, I haven't eaten in there, just walked around.

One underrated place is in Bally's, called "Prime Place". Some of the best steaks I've ever had,
and I'm a pretty fussy eater. A bit on the pricey side, though.

givemethemic could probably give more options that would be located in places like Borgata and Harrah's.
There's also the new shops that have sprouted up in the last 2 years or so, in the walk. You'll notice the area as
you drive in off the AC Expressway. Plenty of chain restaurants.

If you are into Mexican, one place I'd highly recommend is called "Los Amigos" (1926 Atlantic Ave). Seriously,
some of the best mexican food I've ever had outside of Texas.

As for Philly...man, plenty of options. I won't comment on the cheesesteaks, because I'm a huge cheesesteak snob.
Head to 9th and Passyunk Ave and try a Pat's and a Geno's, just so you can say you had them. Tony Luke's is really good, as well. Outside of steaks, what sort of food are you looking for? I'll post some suggestions a little later..

Hope that helps, I'm a bit OCD with my posts sometimes... ;)

How was the trip? You must have not hit the jackpot....

With the time I spent with husband and the fun we had I feel like we hit the jackpot. We had fun and stopped by White House in Atlantic city. We stayed in a shady hotel there so that was not so fun. Poconos was gorgeous and the hotel was a couple of steps up. Philly was fun and adventuresome. We learned to ride the rail system there and will be bringing our children there to see the history. We had a extended stay place in Philly so I cooked there so we did not go out.
