Hey all....

It sure has been a while since I have posted on here. I guess that's what happens when you graduate and move on to the real world. But I just wanted to let everyone know I just started a Blog devoted to Nascar. I talk about the Past, Present and Future that deals with the sport. The blog is slowing getting bigger and hopefully better soon, and your support would help this site out.

Just go to www.non-stopnascar.blogspot.com and let me know what you think. Hope everyone is doing well.

I read the schedule idea, and I really like N. Wilkesboro. BRING IT BACK!!!!

Also, with Nazereth, multiple things would need to happen:
1) More stands
2) Take a date away form Pocono to ensure more people will come
3) Nazereth is a one road town, not suitable for a NASCAR event. The town would need to somehow create more entry and exitways through the city. Unfortunately the town hates the track to begin with, so youre stuck.

Also, a really cool thing IMO would be to bank the turns more. I think it was around 12ish, but why not make it more like 20 or 22? Its a unique track to begin with, and putting more banking would keep it faster. Just a thought

It's going to take a long time to revitalize North Wilkesboro. It's been sitting there rotting for what, 10 years not? Nothing ever goes on there anymore.

Didnt Roush had something there within the past 2 or 3 years for people he was looking at?

If you are going to bring back North Wilkesboro then you might as well do the same with Texas World Speedway. Let's be honest, they are both relics of the past and they don't deserve stops in today's marketplace. The sport has passed them by.

And Nazereth

But honestly if theres a track to get a date soon that doesnt have one its going to be VIR. That place may be the nicest racetrack in the US

On a side note -

The last Nazereth race, Regan Smith drove a White unsponsored 22 car and qualified 6th.

I don't know. I just know every time I've driven past it in the past 3-4 years it's looked terrible.

I wouldn't mind seeing VIR on the schedule.....get rid of Watkins Glen....I hate Watkins Glen. There is also another Road Course being built between Charlotte and Greensboro, the High Rock Raceway. I hear it will be top of the line in facilities and accomodations. It could be interesting to see what the schedule will be like in the next 5-10 years for Nascar

I dont mind The Glen although it would be nice to see maybe a different configuration there.

I really wish the 7/8 mile track proposed out west (Oregon?) went through though. I love short track racing. Kansas, Chicago, California and Pocono all need to lose a date.

Darlington should get Labor Day weekend back, especially after the repaving, which is sending cars through the corners at about 160 as opposed to 135

Like you said.....NASCAR NEEDS ANOTHER SHORT TRACK!!!! I wouldnt be surprised if Rusty Wallace's track out in the Midwest gets a date in the next couple of years. It's a neat little short track shaped like Richmond, and the fans seem to love it.

wilkesboro is a dump....though a great track from back in the day. a road course is needed in the chase to represent all track types. i would love to see VIR get a race especially since infineon out west does not sell out. watkins glen does.

Well if you remember, VIR was a dump at a time until it was renovated. I am just saying, anything is possible. Plus the action is better at Sonoma (On the TV anyways) I just don't like Watkin Glen's layout. Add more turns, and you can convince me.

All theyd have to do is change which paths they race on

Id say take out the inner loop and let the NASCAR boys run on the boot.

I'm hoping for a track close by. I miss living in Stockbridge, GA -- just a quick trip to Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Hoping for a date at Kentucky Speedway. Nationwide series already races there, and it's a decent track. For a road course, throw a real challenge in and run Mid Ohio. :D

That would be an interesting race right there at Mid-Ohio. As long as we're throwing in more unique road courses, why not they race at the Cleveland Airport. You know, the same track that the Cart Series raced at? That would be awesome

Burke Lakefront Airport would be an interesting show...picture the NASCAR boys goin 6 or 7 wide on the front straight and funneling into that first corner...
