Sad

I always knew that FF was a boys club and I just jumped in when I was interested or knew anything but really would enjoy reading your debates and such and then talking to my hubby about some stuff that was interesting to him.

Now there is language and talk about women that I don't love and I am just sad all around about it. Not gonna stop lurking but just wanted to state I used to see a difference of character on here and I know it is much bigger than it once was so you can't have all the good ones on here.

was it the jab at women's sports that did it for you?

edit: after backing out of the thread I'm gonna take the florida teacher thread for $500.

Cheerbren, I'd have to agree with you. There are a few guys on here that have me convinced they're nine-year-olds.

from a previous thread everyone knows my opinion on this. it is out of hand for an lu fan site and getting worse.

I agree knuckle - why the lowering of standards?
Its not like there are not plenty of other forums/venues/outlets for that stuff.

I purposefully linked to things so that you guys who might be offended by a woman in a bikini wouldn't have to see it and yet you still complain?

that was thoughtful. I think it's more of the idea that the entire world can read this board and to them, you are the typical LU student. That thread, among others, isn't the greatest reflection.

man....the wussification of christians.....

maybe that is what is wrong with people, we get so upset over something so small.....(I get that way over things myself and I am wrong at times, but there is no need to get upset over that thread.)

I posted it mainly because I thought it was stupid she lost her job. I posted the link to the pictures because I knew people would want them.

You haven't even heard me whine yet, but I was commenting not attacking or anything like that. It was not that thread but you guys whine over taco bell and I can't say I am sad that you all can't censor yourselves at times.

I said crunchy! It's a valid whine!

Sorry, the cheese shot wasn't directed at you. I should have quoted properly. Amended.

I like cheese.
look its not about 1 thread its about a prevaling off color comment peanut gallery from some. the taco thread was fine until someone put in a nasty unnecessary comment. that kind of junk is happening more and more around here. I personally like to represent lu better than that.

i must of gone to a different lu because this kind of atmosphere was basically the dorm..

And you are more than welcome to do so. Bear in mind, however, that a significant portion of the membership of this board is college kids who clearly have a college kid mentality and are already being preached at several times a week. I'm not saying you're wrong and I'm not saying you're right but I am saying that constantly harping on this is the least effective thing you could do.

I'm calling a bluff. If cheerbren really was a woman, she would be doing laundry somewhere and not on an Internet forum.

Single mother with three kids going through a divorce. How many of those days were from her sick children? She got fired two weeks after she took the bikini job. They can say the absences were the reason all they want, but it's really because she was a bikini model.

cheerbren never said any of this was about the teacher/bikini model thread. some on here sure are quick to defend when they don't even know who it is they're defending. and then there one or two who predictably take the adverse position. it's just how the board has gotten.

Well when 95% of this type of complaining has been directed at me in the past, you can see why I defended myself.
