A Florida high school teacher has been fired after officials learned that she took a second job as a bikini mate aboard a charter fishing boat operation ‘Smokin’ Em Charters.’
Tiffany Shepard, a biology teacher, had to take a second job after divorcing her husband earlier this year. She is the single mother of three children, ages 2, 6, and 9.
“I wasn’t making enough money,” Shepard says of her job with St. Lucie County School District. “This was perfect because I could get paid to fish. It was easy money. In two days of fishing, I make more that I do in a week teaching.”

Other pictures (chances are that link won't work at work or on Liberty's campus)
Disclaimer: All pictures are clothed. There is no nudity. The worst type of picture is the teacher in a bikini. I posted links to the pictures as opposed to the pictures.

You know, I guarantee you the school principal / administrator in this case is a woman. An unattractive one, too.
Is it the teacher's fault that she's got three kids and a job that pays nowhere close to what's needed to support her family? Of course not. Do what you gotta do to get by. She's got a family (and a pair of other things) to feed!
Ill move this here

I posted it mainly because I thought it was stupid she lost her job. I posted the link to the pictures because I knew people would want them.
She missed 30 days of work. Why wouldnt she get fired?
Single mother with three kids going through a divorce. How many of those days were from her sick children? She got fired two weeks after she took the bikini job. They can say the absences were the reason all they want, but it's really because she was a bikini model.
Sorry I didnt clarify. 30 UNEXCUSED days of missing work. its too bad she couldnt handle all the stuff on her plate, but making a stink about a school who fired her after missing 30 days in one year is ridiculous.
I understand it was 4 days after she started working. But its the last straw. Being a model on the side would not get her fired on its own. But its more than that. She cannot put her best effort into her work. She cannot be an effective teacher in all that has gone on, and finally she isnt fulfilling any duty of a role model. Kids get 15 abscences a year, why should a teacher get 30? And 30 without explanation. Thats 30 days the school has to pay a sub to teach the class. Thats 30 times the kids most likely dont learn a thing(going from my high school experience).
Id venture to say if she takes any other job she gets the can anyway. Shes missing work and now shes trying to have a second job? It makes no sense for the school to employ an emotional wreck(I would imagine) who misses 1 of every 7 days and now is attempting to pull off a second job.
As for the modeling, she makes more doing that anyway. Let her focus on that full time so she can support her family.
Plus, Im sure she can change her 2 year old's diaper and teach the 9 year old anatomy while making good money fishing for tonight's meal. Good for her.

How do you know it was unexcused? Which one of the articles said that?

Shepard said she began working for the charter on April 19 and four days later was told she was not to go to work at the school for the rest of the year. A school district spokeswoman Janice Karst said Shepard was fired after missing 30 days of work with unexcused absences.
