Go back to the days of yesteryear....
For me, it was:
Bases Loaded
Tecmo Bowl
Pro Wrestling
Blades of Steel
I lost a lot of childhood hours on those four...

Is there a bigger example of the computer obviously cheating than in Blades of Steel? If you were smoking the other team they were pretty much unstoppable until they caught up. Even when you got into a fight they'd punch you 5 times in a row and then you're down man. It used to make me furious. The only other game that comes close is probably Tecmo Bowl. You'd have a defender catch the running back and they'd sit there and have a slap fight for 2 minutes and just as another defender is about to get there, the RB would throw the other guy on the ground and waltz into the endzone.

I had to replace a controller or two for this very reason. Oh, and for Punch-Out, too...stupid Super Macho Man.

Sega Genesis...I spent many an hour in the evenings playing Sonic 2, 3 and Sonic and Knuckles as well as Aladdin and NBA Jam...I think I had some of the worst grades of my life those years...

blades of steel and bases loaded were my favorite games in elementary school, but my mom wouldn't let me play them much until my hw was done.

The commercial with Spy Hunter running now reminded me of how much time I wasted on that game back in the day.

Did you do any of the special codes for it? I loved doing the "always on fire" code and I would straight dominate every game

Does anyone know what the announcer says every time you make a pass in blades of steel? The best hockey game ever was NHL 94! I was unbeatable in both of those hockey games. Also Bases Loaded on Nintendo was so much fun. I used to play Tecmo Bowl too but I didn't really like it that much. I have loved Madden since 1993 with the exception of 97-99. I can't wait to play it on PS3.

I've got to go with NHL '95. The fights, the hit counter, the corpses left on the ice....the only real flaw with it was that the 'New Season' command was one scroll removed from the 'Continue Season' command and if you hit 'New' by mistake, you're whole season was lost.

Any Madden Game. Since they have started Franchise Mode(Madden 99) I have beaten every franchise.
